Kari Koehler, MSN, RN
Chief Nursing Officer
St. Peter’s Health
Kari Koehler is the Chief Nursing Officer at St. Peter’s Health in Helena, Montana. She holds a Master of Science in Nursing with a focus on Leadership and Administration from Walden University. Kari has also held certifications in Breast Cancer Navigation Imaging, Cancer Care, and In-patient Obstetrics.
Kari has over 20 years of experience at St. Peter’s Health, where she has demonstrated exceptional leadership and innovation. Since October 2021, she has overseen all nursing operations at the Regional Medical Center, leading technology improvements and ensuring financial sustainability. She is involved in strategic planning, relationship building, and collaboration with key councils and COVID response teams.
Previously, Kari served as the Senior Nursing Director of Inpatient Services, managing multiple units and leading initiatives that improved patient care and operational efficiency. She also directed Oncology Services, where she successfully oversaw significant capital projects and maintained high patient and staff satisfaction.
Kari is actively involved in professional organizations, serving on the HWL Advisory Board and the American Organization of Nurse Leaders. She has received several awards for her leadership, including the MT Governors Award for Excellence in Leadership and being named a Top 20 Leader Under 40 by the Independent Record. Kari is dedicated to mentoring new leaders and advancing healthcare initiatives to improve patient and staff experiences.
