Mike Wukitsch is the Chief People Officer at Lee Health in Ft. Myers, Florida, leading the human resources function since 2018. With over 17,000 team members, Lee Health is the largest health care system in Southwest Florida. Mike is responsible for the human resources function including human resources information systems; compensation and benefits; labor relations; learning and organizational development; recruiting and workforce development; employee relations; the human resources service center, and the strategic Human Resources Business Partners. Mike also has responsibility for three auxiliaries and volunteer organizations with more than 4,000 volunteers along with operations of three accredited Child Development Centers.
With a human resources career spanning over 30 years, Mike has progressed through a variety of human resources leadership roles at Northwestern Medicine, Children’s Hospital Colorado, MolsonCoors Brewing Company, Rockwell Automation and AlliedSignal (now Honeywell). He earned his BA from Marquette University and an MBA from the Ross Business School at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He is SPHR and SHRM-SCP certified and recently completed a PhD in Organizational Learning, Performance and Change at Colorado State University.
Mike serves on the Boards of The Foundation for Lee County Public Schools, the Boys and Girls Clubs and CareerSource Southwest Florida.
