Romney Resney is a Senior Partner and Managing Director, leader of the firm’s Health Care practice in the West, and global topic leader for New Product Launch and Commercialization.  She leads BCG’s Bay Area Offices and is part of the North America Leadership Team. Romney has 25 years of consulting experience with healthcare industries ranging from payers and providers to biopharma and medical devices. She has focused on helping clients develop commercial strategies and build internal capabilities throughout their organizations.

Growth Strategy: Romney has extensive experience in helping healthcare clients drive profitable top-line growth

M&A: Romney has led several PMIs ranging from large-scale corporate transactions to smaller product add-ons 

New Product Launch: Romney has been involved in over 20 engagements involving new product launches and/or new market entry strategies within life sciences and healthcare in the past five years

Marketing and Branding Strategy: Romney has worked extensively to develop marketing and brand strategies and build organizational capabilities to reinforce marketing excellence across multiple brand and product strategy teams

Forecasting:  Romney has built multiple  dynamic product forecast models, tied to market insight about patient and MD adoption  as well as nuanced pricing  scenarios

Pricing and Value Strategy: Romney has been involved in developing multiple pricing and economic value strategies across multiple therapeutic areas for her clients

Commercial Models and Field Execution: Romney has worked extensively with sales/field organizations to improve the effectiveness of their interactions, as well as with marketing organizations to make their outputs more relevant to the field 

Organizational Capability Building:  Over the past several years, Romney has been working intensely with her healthcare clients to enhance the organizations’ capabilities to build robust commercial strategies and the leadership capabilities to execute them

Prior Experience and Education

Previously, Romney was a Senior Partner with Monitor Group, where she co-led Monitor’s Life Sciences practice. Romney graduated from Harvard University, with high honors in Government and Economics, and also received her Masters in Public Policy from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government.
