Steve Jacobs is a veteran physician recruiter with over 20 years of clinical recruitment experience. He is currently the Enterprise Director – Physician & APP Recruitment for Jefferson Health in Philadelphia, PA. Jefferson Health is a 31-hospital system in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. With 63,000 employees it is the second largest employer in Philadelphia and home to Jefferson University, and Sidney Kimmel Medical College.

He has been a member of the Association for Advancing Physician & Provider Recruitment since 2008. The Association offers its members and the industry thought-leadership on all topics related to healthcare recruitment, onboarding, and retention. Steve served as co-chair of the fellowship committee in 2015 and has contributed articles and has spoken nationally on the topic of social media recruitment, immigration and recruiter burnout. He has published 3 ROAR articles for AAPPR and has a passion for immigration related recruiting.

Steve has served as the President of the Mid-Atlantic Physician Recruiters Alliance since 2019. He has been a member of MAPRA since 2012. MAPRA is a 6 state + DC regional special interest group of AAPPR with 122 members. Its goal is to promote education, fellowship and networking opportunities at a regional level
Steve is married to his wife Laura for over 20 years and has three children. He enjoys refereeing youth and adult soccer, gardening, and scuba diving in his spare time.
